Biography
Helen Davies (b.1993) Manchester, UK.
Helen Davies a self-taught, award-winning figurative artist and member of Grit Studios, Manchester. Creating an ongoing documentation of life and love, through oil paints.
Art has been a constant in her life, from exploring the female experience through her pastel portraits, to her current paintings which capture the quiet moments of pause that we experience in a fast-paced world. Often described as ‘film stills’, her work has consistently stemmed from the act of observation and noticing subtle details.
Her work has been selected for several Open Art exhibitions, including the Young Contemporary Arts Prize, RBSA Portrait Prize, and HOME Open exhibitions. Since winning the Greater Manchester Arts Prize, she’s exhibited across the UK including Manchester, Newcastle, Liverpool and Birmingham and has collectors worldwide.
